Event Overload

So much has happened since I last posted so I thought I'd give you a quick glance on what we have been up too.

Every year we go to Midway with all of Joe's extended family for a weekend vacay. Joe has such fond memories of this trip while growing up, and I am glad that we can start to make it a tradition for Peyton. Here are some of the pics of the fun filled weekend.

We spent the 4th of July celebrating once again with some of Joe's extended family. It was a great day filled with swimming, BBQ, and of course ending the night with some fantastic fireworks!

Enjoying a hot day at Liberty Park! Such a great free place to take kids! We took Peyt and met up with her cousin Jack. The 2 had a blast!

Amidst all of the hectic summer fun, my Grandma passed away. While the decline of her health was very sudden, she wanted nothing more than to leave this world and go be with her sweetheart again. It was a beautiful funeral celebrating her life and the wonderful grandmother she was. While we will miss her, it's exciting to know that this separation is only temporary. We will see her again. What a joyous reunion that will be. I love you grandma!

It's beginning to look a lot like SUMMER!!!

It's about time we break out the sprinkler. Every morning (no joke) before I can even get out of my pj's, Peyt is begging to play in the "Wa Wa." The weather has finally been sooooo nice that she can splash outside rather than in the kitchen sink. Peyt got together with her cousin Dax and her new bestie "Aushie" (Austin) who lives across the street for some good old fashioned sprinkler play. She was a little timid at first, but was the last one to be done. She's a die hard!

My bathing beauty

Lucky me gets to see a lot more of these cheeks this summer!

Curlformers

I completely forgot about these pictures and ran across them a few minutes ago and remembered I wanted to post them. I borrowed Curlformers from a friend to try them out on my hair and couldn't pass up the opportunity to try a few in Peyt's stick straight hair. While her hair was too short for them to really do much, she still looked so darn cute with them in. I love this girl!!!

Outside

So I've decided our blog pretty much stinks as of late. I have been slacking in the picture taking department so I thought I would hurry and post a video of what we have been doing the days the sun is actually shining. Playing outside!

This video is just because I think it's funny. Especially that we actually caught it on camera. This was forever ago, but still definitely post worthy! Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Peyton was all smiles as she spotted her new red wagon and hunted for eggs that the Easter bunny left her. It was also her first day of nursery! I felt excited, nervous, and a little sad at the same time. What a treat it is to be able to sit and be inspired by the spirit of Relief Society again, but I feel somewhat sad that my baby is getting older and more independent. But good news, she did awesome! Let's hope this week wasn't a fluke now that she knows the drill. How could you not love this face! I wanna smooch her cheeks off.

Hope you all had as great of an Easter as we did!

Jump 'N Bounce

Peyton and I went to Jump 'N Bounce for my nephews birthday and had an absolute blast! Peyt was beside herself excited. It was fun to just let her loose and jump away.

Look at her hair! This pic makes me laugh.

Emily and I even had fun going down this slide. It was seriously so steep! So much fun!

Peyt didn't like this one too much. A little too steep for her.

Audrey and Jackie hung out with Peyton and I the entire time. They love their cousin :)

"Cheese!"

Peyt loved the drinking fountain. She would have played in it all day if I would have let her.
We had such a fun time! A lot of the obstacle courses were a little too advanced for Peyt so we stuck with the big open ones. But those of you that have kids that are a little older, I highly recommend this place. They would have a ball! Get ready to get sweaty though, man it was hot!
